  Took my 79 year old mother for a "nice" Sunday lunch. Her meal was delivered cold with rock hard Yorkshire pudding that she coudn't even cut. I tried in case it was just a lack of strength in her old age, but no she was absolutely right and it was tougher than both of us. Complained so they took the roast dinner away and went away to make another one but left the bowl of veg. Veg went cold whilst meal was being remade and I had to ask them to change the veg. No apology nothing , it was almost as if it was an inconvenience to serve us. Have been here before many times over the last twenty years and it really has gone downhill. Maybe they think that customer service doesnt matter but complacency in the restaurant trade is a bad thing and I for one will not be visiting the Pheasant again
  Poor food, lack of management and I recommend you spend your money elsewhere especially if you're treating somebody

  We like this pub. We often come for drinks and chips after a visit to the sea. It's a very nice pub, with commensurate pricing, so not the place for what we would qualify as a cheap family meal, but a great place for good quality food.
  
  We've eaten here as a couple and the food was lovely, with great service, and real depth of flavour. The staff couldn't be more helpful, and the décor is wonderful, with lots of natural, real wood features, and natural edge pieces. Someone clearly cares. Visit here. Goto Crosby beach (by the life guard station) at high tide first to work up an appetite.
